WITHOUT EXCEPTION, all prints, products, and digital files provided by Sofia Thompson Photography are protected under copyright of Sofia Thompson Photography. This copyright is non-transferrable. Purchase of prints, products, or digital files does NOT signify a transfer of ownership of any copyrights. Please refer to the Limited Release document provided with your digital files for further information on how you may legally use your purchased or provided digital files. Please also adhere to the U.S. Copyright Act, in your usage of photographic prints and products, outlined below:

The U.S. Copyright Act (Title 17, United States Code) is designed to protect photographers and other artists by granting them the exclusive right to distribute, copy, edit and publish their photography by license, transfer, or sale. The Copyright Act prohibits anyone from copying, scanning, editing or sharing photographic prints, images, or media without the written permission of the photographer. Violation of the Copyright Act can incur both civil and criminal penalties.

Mini Session Terms: 

-Mini Session Fee: $100 is due at booking. 

-Payment must be made at booking to retain session date and time

-Mini Sessions Reschedules: Mini Session may NOT be rescheduled due to the limited of time they are offered.

-Mini Session Cancellation: You may cancel a Mini Session anytime up to 72 hrs prior to session DAY and receive a full refund. After 72 hrs a cancellation may NOT be refunded. If cancellation is due to an unexpected event that is out of your control Sofia Thompson Photography may refund session fee after the cancellation period. Please note: refund after cancellation period is at Sofia Thompson Photography discretion only.

-Mini Session Punctuality: Mini sessions are set in smaller time increments and for this you may not be late to session. If you arrive 10 min after Mini Session set time, session may be canceled and session fee will NOT be refunded. If all persons in session are not fully dressed and picture ready at Mini Session time, session may be cancelled.

-Sofia Thompson Photography reserves the right to reschedule any session due to photographer illness, personal emergency, or inclement weather. If a session cannot be rescheduled due to photographer cancellation, we WILL refund your paid session fee.

-Mini Sessions Include: 10 full resolution digital images. Images are chosen based on Sofia Thompson Photography Professional opinion and only provide the best, highest quality, and most flatter images. Images are provided on an online gallery for download on your computers hard drive and available for 30 days, at which point, they will be removed and no longer available. Sofia Thompson Photography recommends that you please back up all digital copies of your photographs in 1-2 places. We recommend an external hard drive or flash drive, as well as online/cloud storage.. Sofia Thompson Photography will not be responsible for loss of images after images have been downloaded to your computers harddrive. Client may request to purchase hard copy of images provided on a flash drive for $25. 

Mini Session Images: The CLIENT hereby assigns Sofia Thompson Photography the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the CLIENT or in which the CLIENT may be included, for editorial, trade, advertising, educational and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same without restriction.  The CLIENT releases all claim to profits that may arise from use of images.

GENERAL SESSIONS TERMS: 

-Once a photography session has been performed, your session fee is non-refundable, as it covers the time and skills invested by Sofia Thompson Photography up to and through that point.

- Sofia Thompson requires full payment for prints and products at the end of your ordering session (via cash, check, or credit). No order will be designed or submitted until paid in full.

 -No online galleries or blog/social media sneak peeks will be posted until all payments are made. 

- All items ordered during your in-person ordering session will be delivered directly to Sofia Thompson Photography for quality assurance. We prefer that our clients pick up their orders directly from us. However, prints and products may be shipped to you at an additional cost, and must include insurance.

- Items ordered via online galleries (by family and friends) will be shipped directly from our lab. PLEASE report any damages due to shipping to us within 24 hours of receiving your item. We have office hours every day of the week, and check voicemail often during non-office hours.

RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATION:

-Sofia Thompson Photography reserves the right to reschedule any session due to photographer illness, personal emergency, or inclement weather. If a session cannot be rescheduled due to photographer cancellation, we will refund your paid session fee.

-Deposits made to reserve your session are not refunded if session is canceled a week prior to your session date. 

- Clients reserve the right to reschedule any portrait session with at least one week’s notice to the photographer, at no additional fee. Rescheduling within one week of your session’s date may incur additional fees ($50 per occurrence), at Sofia Thompson Photography's discretion.

- If you prefer to cancel your session, instead of rescheduling, you may pay a cancellation fee of $20 and deposit is not refunded.

DIGITAL IMAGES:

-Sofia Thompson Photography provides archival-quality photographic prints and products, color corrected & calibrated to print EXACTLY as we see on our, Sofia Thompson Photography computer, by our professional print lab. Any digital photos you see (on our website, blog, social media sites, or that have been provided directly to you) may vary from their intended appearance, depending on your computer's monitor and settings. In addition, Sofia Thompson Photography cannot guarantee the results or quality of photographic prints made by clients or by clients' chosen labs. For consistent, quality results made to last a lifetime, please purchase your prints directly from Sofia Thompson Photography.

- The determination of images delivered to the CLIENT is left to the discretion of Sofia Thompson Photography.

-Digital files purchased or provided are for personal archival purposes. We include a print release for photographic prints. Digital files may NOT be used to make your own albums, canvases, or any other photo products, without our express written permission.

 -Please back up all digital copies of your photographs in 1-2 places. We recommend an external hard drive or flash drive, as well as online/cloud storage.

Sofia Thompson Photography will make every effort to retain your files for up to 3 months from the date of your session but we are not responsible for any files lost.

PORTRAIT SESSIONS:

- Portraits: your full session fee is due at your session. We may collect the session fee at your pre-session consultation, via check or cash. However, you may also mail your check, or pay your session fee online, upon request. We will not reserve a date or time without payment.

-The CLIENT hereby assigns Sofia Thompson Photography the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the CLIENT or in which the CLIENT may be included, for editorial, trade, advertising, educational and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same without restriction.  The CLIENT releases all claim to profits that may arise from use of images.

>> Sofia Thompson Photography strives to have your portraits ready to view and order within 2-3 weeks after your session. However, due to the level of attention we provide to your images, your wait may be longer. We appreciate your patience!

WEDDINGS:

-Contact Sofia Thompson to inquire wedding policies and set up an appointments for full policy and contract.

-Sofia Thompson Photography strives to have your wedding images ready to view and order within 6-8 weeks after your wedding date. However, due to the level of attention we provide to your images, your wait may be longer. We appreciate your patience!
